Ocean carrier Hanjin Shipping joined Evergreen Line, Yang Ming and Sinotrans’ joint CAT/STA service June 20.
Container liner Hanjin Shipping has begun a slot charter agreement with Evergreen Line, Yang Ming and Sinotrans on their joint Asia to Oceania CAT/STA service, according to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting.
Hanjin joined the service with the June 20 sailing of the YM Antwerp from Ningbo.
The CAT/STA operates with six vessels with an average capacity of 4,302 TEUs. The service has a full rotation of Ningbo, Shanghai, Shekou, Kaohsiung, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Kaohsiung and Ningbo.
PIL also purchases slots on the CAT/STA service.
Hanjin provides vessels on three other services dedicated to the Asia-Oceania trade, its AAZ, CKA and AUS loops. The carrier is also a slot taker on “K” Line’s WASCO service between Asia and Oceania, which Hanjin calls the WAX.
