Hapag-Lloyd, Germany’s largest ocean carrier, has launched an online quotation tool that allows shippers to simplify and speed up their quotation process for container shipments.
Quick Quotes generates online quotations for standard and reefer container types in less than 30 seconds on a 24/7 basis, according to Hapag-Lloyd.
After logging in via the Hapag-Lloyd website, customers simply choose the starting and ending locations, a commodity and a container type. Customers then will receive a binding quotation within seconds and then can immediately make their bookings through the Hapag-Lloyd online business platform.
Quick Quotes has been integrated into Hapag-Lloyd’s business platform, which also allows customers to check for shipping schedules, manage documents and track shipments.
As of September, Quick Quotes and Mobile Booking also will be available through the Hapag-Lloyd app for iOS and Android.
