Hapag-Lloyd picks new CFO

39-year-old Nicolas Burr was formerly CFO of Santiago, Chile-based ocean carrier CSAV from 2012 to 2015.

Ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd has selected Nicolas Burr to be its new chief financial officer.
The 39-year-old was formerly CFO of CSAV from 2012 to 2015, based in Santiago, Chile.
He succeeds Peter Ganz, 47, who announced during today’s meeting of Hapag-Lloyd’s supervisory board that he will step down as CFO, effective April 1.
“The background for this change on the executive board is an agreement between shareholders stipulating that CSAV, as the new largest shareholder in Hapag-Lloyd, has the right to nominate an individual of its choice to assume the position of CFO,” Hapag-Lloyd said in a statement.
Ganz is credited with his work to help the restructuring and refinancing of Hapag-Lloyd.
