Hapag-Lloyd to Tango

Hapag-Lloyd said its Brazil Express Loop 1 (BX1) service is being replaced with a new South America East Coast Service (SEC) that will use slots on the so-called “Tango” service of Hamburg-Süd  and CSAV.
Tango provides weekly direct connections between ports in Brazil and Argentina and ports on the U.S. East Coast. Alianca and Libra-Montemar also have space on the service.
Hapag-Lloyd’s new port rotation in Tango includes New York, Philadelphia, Portsmouth, Charleston, Jacksonville, Port Everglades, Suape, Santos, Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Itapoa, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Pecem, and New York.
The last BX1 sailing will depart Portsmouth on Oct. 1 and the first SEC sailings will be from New York on Oct. 17. – Chris Dupin
