Harrington named VP of MOL (Canada)

   MOL (America) Inc. has appointed Tim Harrington to vice president of Canada and head of MOL (Canada).
   Harrington will be responsible for sales, customer service, and operations to serve the Canadian market. He will be located in Toronto, and report to Richard Craig, senior vice president of operations for MOL (America).
   Harrington has more than 25 years in the shipping industry. He has held various management positions with CAST, Sea-Land Service, Maersk Line, and most recently NYK Line.
   Effective Aug. 1, MOL will begin operating in Canada as MOL (Canada). MOL (America) and Montship jointly announced on May 21 that their liner agent agreement will expire on July 31. All other agent agreements between MOL’s non-liner divisions and Montship will continue without interruption, the company said. MOL will also maintain its four existing weekly liner services to/from Vancouver and its Asia/Halifax service which began on June 17.
