Hermann Yu, the president of Yang Ming Marine Transport, is reported to have died last week at the age of 59.
According to an article from news outlet Lloyd’s List, Yu joined the company in 1984 and was appointed president in June 2013.
The Taiwanese company is listed as the 13th largest container carrier with 100 owned and chartered ships with 529,083 TEUs of capacity on the Alphaliner list of Top 100 container carriers. It has 10 ships with 140,990 TEUs capacity on order.
