Holland to hire 500 military veterans

Holland, a less-than-truckload carrier subsidiary of YRC Worldwide, plans to hire as many as 500 military veterans to accommodate its expansion efforts.

   “America is at a turning point with an estimated one million veterans returning home in the next five years,” said Scott Ware, president of the Holland, Mich.-based trucking company, in a statement. “Our business is expanding and job opportunities abound.”
   Holland will work with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes and FASTPORT to seek out veterans for hire.
