Hoyer forms Australian joint venture

German-based tank container provider will bolster services to domestic Australian shippers of bulk liquid chemicals, wine, milk and liquefied gases.

Tank container specialist Hoyer Group has formed a joint venture with AAW Global Logistics to increase its liquid bulk transport business in Australia.
Hoyer Logistics Australia, based in Melbourne, will concentrate on developing logistics services within the Australian domestic market. It will offer its tank containers to shippers of chemical products, foodstuffs including wine, milk products and cryogenically liquefied gases.
Hamburg-based Hoyer Group holds 51 percent of the shares of the joint venture, while the Melbourne-based AAW holds 49 percent.
