HOYER sees steady results in FY2016

The Hamburg-based transportation and logistics services provider recorded a net income of 30.95 million euros (U.S. $34.75 million) for fiscal year 2016, down just 0.6 percent year-over-year, according to the firm’s latest financial statements.

   HOYER posted a net income of 30.95 million euros (U.S. $34.75 million) for its fiscal year 2016, falling just 0.6 percent year-over-year, despite headwinds from difficult economic framework conditions and market uncertainties in view of political developments in Europe and the United States, the company said.
   The Hamburg-based transportation and logistics provider’s earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) slid 5.5 percent to EUR 46.74 million compared with fiscal year 2015.
   Investments in fixed assets totaled EUR 102.25 million euros for the year, down 9.3 percent year-over-year, primarily for replacement and expansion investments in transportation equipment.
   During the fiscal year, HOYER’s equipment fleet consisted of 37,277 tank containers, 27,204 intermediate bulk containers, 2,869 road tankers, and 2,416 truck units. The company had a total of 6,079 employees at the end of the fiscal year, up from 5,663 employees at the end of fiscal year 2015.
