The outdoor power products manufacturer’s 513,000-square-foot warehouse will support an existing manufacturing plant in Orangeburg, S.C.
Husqvarna North America, a manufacturer of outdoor power products such as leaf blowers and lawn mowers, plans to invest $29.8 million in a new distribution center on its campus in Orangeburg, S.C., the South Carolina Department of Commerce announced.
The expansion is expected to help increase the company’s shipment volume through the Port of Charleston.
The 513,000-square foot facility, scheduled to be completed in December, will serve as a warehouse and staging area for the existing factory. It will include automation to transfer the finished products from the assembly lines to the new DC.
