The airline group recently commenced its new Cargo Connector delivery service, which takes freight directly from the aircraft and delivers it to the forwarder’s handling facilities, for the first time in the United States
IAG Cargo, the joint air freight operations of British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus, launched its new Cargo Connector delivery service in the United States, which takes freight directly from the aircraft and delivers it to the forwarder’s handling facilities.
The Cargo Connector delivery service is now available for shipments under 300 kilos at eight U.S. airports in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Seattle and Houston, IAG Cargo said.
The service is also available at IAG Cargo’s UK hub operation at London Heathrow and Frankfurt, Germany.
The Cargo Connector delivery service is offered upon booking and is available Tuesday through Saturday.
Cargo Connector was originally offered as an export collection service. The addition of the import delivery service allows customers to benefit from cost reduction and increased reliability on incoming goods, IAG Cargo said.
