The airline group reported cargo volumes of 422 million cargo ton kilometers in July, a year-over-year drop of 7 percent
International Airlines Group (IAG) reported cargo volumes of 422 million cargo ton kilometers (CTKs) in July compared to 454 million CTKs in July 2014.
Year-to-date, the airline group reported cargo volumes of 3 billion CTKs, a 3.7 percent decrease from the same period last year.
Broken down into individual components, subsidiaries British Airways and Iberia both reported their cargo transport results.
Iberia posted July cargo volumes of 86 million CTKs and year-to-date cargo volumes of 584 million CTKs, a year-over-year increase of 4.9 percent and 6.4 percent, respectively.
Unlike Iberia, British Airways posted a decline in cargo volumes. British Airways reported July cargo volumes of 336 million CTKs and year-to-date cargo volumes of 2.4 billion CTKs, a year-over-year drop of 9.7 percent and 5.9 percent, respectively.
