China Southern Airlines became the sixth member of IAG Cargo’s Partner Plus Program, which already included Qatar Airways, Japan Airlines, the Avianca group, American Airlines and Finnair.
IAG Cargo announced China Southern Airlines joined its Partner Plus Program, which allows IAG Cargo’s customers to benefit from space on China Southern Airlines’ aircraft to new destinations including Auckland, New Zealand; Melbourne and Perth, Australia; and Urumqi, China starting in August.
The new partnership will allow China Southern to better connect its customers with markets in Europe, the Americas and additional locations, China Southern Senior Vice President Cargo Zhao Fengsheng said in a statement.
“With the addition of China Southern, our program now offers our customers extended network reach across all the world’s key markets,” IAG Cargo Chief Executive Officer Steve Gunning said in a statement. “Our focus is now shifting away from adding new members and onto deepening our commercial relationships with the existing members of the programme.”
The Partner Plus Program already included Qatar Airways, Japan Airlines, the Avianca group, American Airlines and Finnair.
