IANA selects new leadership

   The Intermodal Association of North America said its board has elected Frank Sonzala as its chairman.

   Sonzala, executive vice president of San Antonio-based Pressure Systems Inc., a manufacturer of automated tire pressure monitoring systems, moves up from vice chairman.

   He succeeds Michael Wilson, vice president equipment and logistics, for Hamburg Sud North America, Morristown, N.J.

   Theodore Prince, vice president of intermodal and international for Kansas City Southern railroad, replaces Sonzala as vice chairman for the coming year; and Richard Coleman, president of the ContainerPort Group, Inc., Cleveland, was re-elected as treasurer.

   Four new directors were elected, and two directors, including Prince, were appointed. The newly elected directors are:

   * Jeffrey Brashares, vice chairman – commercial sales, of Pacer Global Logistics of Dublin, Ohio.

   * James Hertwig, president, CSX Intermodal, Jacksonville, Fla.

   * Anthony Pacella, president, Cushing Transportation Inc., Cicero, Ill.

   * Greg Stefflre, chief executive officer, Rail Delivery Services Inc., Fontana, Calif.

   All four will serve three-year terms. Jordan Ayers, vice president, chassis, of TAL International Inc., of North Kansas City, Mo., was appointed for a one-year term.
