IAS names three new executives
Oakland, Calif.-based software-as-service provider International Asset Systems has added three management positions to support the rapid growth of the firm's InterChange container exchange service.
Andrew Haines has been named general manager of the Americas region. Haines has 23 years of global industry experience including equipment management, vessel operations, container interchange and North American intermodal operations for shipping lines and technology providers.
Renato Pavan has been appointed to manage InterChange business development in South America. Pavan has more than 10 years of experience in the transportation and logistics field, most recently with Maersk Logistics and Macrolog'stica Consultoria. He will be based out of IAS offices in S'o Paulo, Brazil.
Beth Culpepper has been named as to manage InterChange business in North America. Culpepper, who most recently served with ocean carriers CMA-CGM and Zim, will be based out of IAS offices in Norfolk, Va.
According to IAS, both Pavan and Culpepper will work closely with Haines to expand business opportunities in the North and South American markets.
InterChange is a worldwide container interchange service that aims to help ocean carriers and container lessors match clients' surplus containers with other clients' need for containers, reducing repositioning costs. According to IAS, the firm's InterChange business doubled in 2007, and its customer base increased 45 percent.
