IATA AND FIATA START NEW CARGO AGENT COURSE
The International Air Transport Association and the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations have announced a new course for cargo agents in the airfreight industry.
The “2001 IATA/FIATA International Cargo Agents Introductory Course,” designed by IATA’s Aviation Training and Development Institute in co-operation with the FIATA Airfreight Institute, takes into account a number of changes in the air cargo industry and the evolution of the industry towards the adoption of electronic air waybills with the ratification of Montreal Protocol No.4, a spokesman for IATA said.
The course will be offered in more than 35 IATA/FIATA training centres around the world. The IATA/FIATA introductory course is one of the requirements for accreditation as an IATA Cargo Agent.
