IB KRUSE NAMED CHAIRMAN OF THE BOX CLUB
Ib Kruse, former partner of the A.P. Moller group, has been named chairman of the Box Club, the group of chief executive officers and managing directors of the world’s biggest container shipping lines.
Kruse, who is now a non-executive adviser to A.P. Moller, the parent company of Maersk Sealand, replaces Tim Harris, who recently resigned as head of the Box Club and as chief executive officer of P&O Nedlloyd Container Line.
The Box Club, also known as International Council of Containership operators, is a forum that allows carriers to discuss industry issues.

* Asia and the Mideast: China Ocean Shipping Co., China Shipping Group, Cho Yang, Evergreen, Hanjin Shipping, Hyundai, “K” Line, Malaysia International Shipping Corp., Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia, Neptune Orient Lines, NYK, OOCL, United Arab Shipping Co., Wan Hai, Yangming and Zim.
* Europe: Atlantic Container Line, CMA CGM, d’Amico/Italia, Hamburg-Sud, Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk Sealand, Mediterranean Shipping Co., P&O Nedlloyd and Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
* Americas: Compania Sud Americana de Vapores, CP Ships and Crowley Maritime Corp.
