ILWU-PMA TALKS RESUME
Collective bargaining sessions have begun once more in San Francisco between the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) and the International Longshore & Warehouse Union (ILWU).
Talks were adjourned last week to allow James Spinosa, president of the ILWU, to attend his father’s funeral.
This week, the union announced new proposals to enhance port security. “Longshore workers systematically inspecting container seals are the last line of defense,” Spinosa said in a statement.''
