ILWU SAYS TALKS ARE RECESSED
The International Longshore & Warehouse Union confirmed Thursday that negotiations with the Pacific Maritime Association are “in recess” after two weeks of subcommittee meetings about technology issues.
“Our negotiating committee is meeting now,” an ILWU spokesman told AS+. “So far, there have been no smoke signals.”
The union said that it is ready “to resume negotiations with the PMA in the near future.”
PMA spokesmen were not available for comment.
