Intercontainer-Interfrigo posts 4% volume growth
European intermodal company Intercontainer-Interfrigo (ICF) said it ended 2006 with a traffic volume increase of 4 percent to 430,000 TEUs and pre-tax profit 'clearly in the plus zone.'
The Basel, Switzerland-based company said it experienced 'particularly spectacular' growth rates for combined transport, with South-East Europe, reaching double-digit figures.
'Given results for 2006, which have convincingly underlined the wisdom of the new strategic focus on core markets, the positive trend is expected to continue in 2007,' ICF said.
The company will release full details of its 2006 financial performance in mid-June.
