INTERNATIONAL SHIPPERS’ ASSOCIATION LAUNCHED
Members of the Household Goods Forwarders Association of America announced the formation of the International Shippers’ Association (ISA).
The Alexandria, Va.-based shippers’ association will consolidate commercial and military household goods shipments, along with shipments of other commodities for its members.
The ISA will first focus on the North Atlantic trade with respect to household goods. Service contracts in other trades will be developed as the association’s membership grows.
The ISA said it would use North Atlantic Services and Pasha International as its exclusive agents in the administration of service contracts developed with members of the Trans-Atlantic American Flag Liner Operators Conference.
Both Household Goods Forwarders Association members and non-members will be able to participate in the shippers’ association.
