The U.S. International Trade Commission on Monday determined the country’s makers of carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod are harmed by similar imports from China.
All six ITC commissioners voted in the affirmative.
The Commerce Department had previously said these imports are subsidized by the Chinese government and sold in the United States at less than fair value.
As a result of the ITC’s affirmative determinations, Commerce will issue both antidumping and countervailing duty orders on imports of this product from China.
