The Lowell, Ark.-based intermodal and trucking provider’s net earnings for 2016 inched up 1.1 percent from 2015 to $432.1 million.
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. reported net earnings of $117.6 million for the fourth quarter of 2016, a 0.7 percent increase from the corresponding 2015 period, according to the company’s most recent financial statements.
J.B. Hunt’s fourth quarter 2016 net earnings included a one-time after tax benefit of $9.5 million for a change in the company’s paid time off policy.
Operating revenues for the quarter rose 6.2 percent year-over-year to $1.7 billion.
For the full year of 2016, net earnings reached $432.1 million, while operating revenues totaled $6.6 billion, year-over-year increases of 1.1 percent and 5.9 percent, respectively.
