Jacksonville port: Blount Island terminal remains open

The Port of Jacksonville said its Blount Island Marine Terminal remains open to vessels, rail carriers and trucks following an accident Wednesday when heavy winds damaged two cranes at the port.

The port said that while structural engineers are determining the extent of the damage to the container cranes, there are three cranes available for stevedores to use at the facility.

Shipping lines using the terminal include Horizon, Sea Star, Coastal, and Nordana.
