Jaxport gets anti-pollution grant

The Port of Jacksonville said a grant will allow it to reduce pollution from equipment at its Talleyrand and Blount Island marine terminals.
Awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, a grant funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will allow Jaxport to pay for diesel oxidation catalysts to be installed on cranes and equipment, reducing emissions by 10 tons per year.
Jaxport is the second Florida port to receive funds through the grant program.
