Jettainer, a third party unit-load device management firm and subsidiary of Lufthansa Cargo, has opened a new facility at Frankfurt Airport in Germany.
The new 17,000-square-meter facility guarantees immediate availability to ULDs, maintenance and repair services at Germany’s largest air traffic hub. About 750,000 units a year, or 9,000 containers and pallets at a time, can be handled at the site, according to the company.
Jettainer itself manages a fleet of about 90,000 ULDs for 16 airlines.
