K.C. logistics park adds spec warehouses

Developers at Logistics Park Kansas City are building a fulfillment center for Amazon and two new warehouses on a speculative basis.

Logistics Park Kansas City is expanding with three major warehouses now in the construction pipeline.
Amazon last week selected the site for an 822,104-square foot fulfillment center that will employ more than 1,000 hourly employees and managers.
NorthPoint Development announced Thursday it is starting construction on two speculative buildings of 764,785-square feet and 927,112-square feet to meet rising demand from new and existing tenants.
About 2 million square feet of speculative construction will be delivered this summer at LPKC. The two new buildings are scheduled to be delivered by the third quarter, bringing the total capacity of the park to 6.5 million square feet.
Located in Edgerton, Kan., LPKC is a 1,700-acre master planned distribution and warehouse development anchored by a new BNSF Railway intermodal facility
