Ocean carrier “K” Line will open a new cold storage operation in Binh Duong province of Vietnam in July.
The carrier will operate the facility through a joint venture, called CLK Cold Storage Co. Ltd., with the Cool Japan Fund and Japan Logistics Systems Corp., which it first announced on Sept. 25, 2014. The capital investment for the facility is estimated at $15 million.
“K” Line said the new joint venture company received official approval for the establishment from Vietnamese government authorities in late April.
