The Japanese liner carrier’s decision to add another roll-on/roll-off service from Thailand to Australia stemmed from the rise in imported vehicles in the Australian automobile industry.
Japanese ocean carrier Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” Line) has decided to enhance its roll-on/roll-off presence on the Thailand to Australia trade, stemming from the increase of imported vehicles in the Australian automobile industry, “K” Line said.
K” Line unveiled a new service on the trade, sailing twice a month from Laem Chabang to Fremantle, Adelaide and Melbourne.
The new, counter-clockwise loop complements the already existing Thailand-Australia clockwise loop, which sails each Saturday from Laem Chabang, calling Townsville, Brisbane, Port Kembla, Melbourne, Adelaide and Fremantle. On this loop, Townsville is only called directly by the first week vessel only, while Fremantle is called directly on all sailings except with the first week vessel.
