Kuehne + Nagel will introduce refrigerated less-than-containerload pharmaceutical services from its facility in Geel, Belgium to Singapore and Sydney, Australia.
Kuehne + Nagel will launch two new refrigerated less-than-containerload pharmaceutical services from its facility in Geel, Belgium to Singapore and Sydney, Australia starting Sep. 1, 2015.
The fixed-day weekly LCL services will consolidate pharmaceutical shipments from across Europe in Geel and maintain a temperature of 15°C to 25°C, allowing customers to ship smaller volumes, the third party logistics provider said in a statement.
Kuehne + Nagel said its GDP certified pharmaceutical hub in Geel has a storage capacity of 12,000 square meters and also serves as a cross-docking platform. In addition, the reefer containers used in the new LCL services will be equipped with optional in-transit temperature monitoring.
