Kane is Able purchases 30 new trucks

The new Kenworth T680 trucks have features to make them safer, more comfortable, and more efficient, earning them the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay designation.

The 3PL Kane Is Able has expanded its fleet with the purchase of 30 new Kenworth T680 trucks.
The new trucks have features to make driving safer and more comfortable. Because of their efficiency, they have earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay designation.
Kane expects longer service intervals, increased uptime, lower operating costs, and higher resale value with the new trucks.
The company operates 25 distribution centers – 8 million square feet – in major markets across the United States. Kane’s Northeast and Southeast regional truck fleet includes 150 power units and 600 trailers.
Earlier this year, Kane Freight Line, an affiliate, filed a lawsuit in federal district court in Pennsylvania against Volvo, Cummins Westport and Agility Fuel Systems after one of a group of seven LNG-fueled trucks it purchased caught fire. Kane claims Volvo breached its warranties and, therefore, the company is entitled to compensation for the truck that caught fire and other
costs, including the value of the remaining six vehicles, which it has
not used since the initial incident.
