KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL TO ADD INTERMODAL CENTER

KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL TO ADD INTERMODAL CENTER

Kansas City International Airport has reached agreement with Haith & Co. Inc. to build an on-airport intermodal transport facility to support just-in-time transportation services by ground and air.

The agreement is the airport's second land lease agreement with Haith & Co., which owns and manages the KCI Air Cargo Facility. Once completed, the new intermodal facility will be the fifth air freight facility at KCI.

The new 30,000-square-foot cross-dock logistics center will provide 40 dock positions and will be named the KCI Inter-Modal Facility. Haith & Co. will begin work on the center in the spring, with completion expected by fall of 2002.
