Kenco opens distribution center in Kalamazoo, Mich.

The Chattanooga, Tenn.-based logistics solutions provider opened a 300,000-square-foot distribution center in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Kenco opened a 300,000-square-foot distribution center (DC) in Kalamazoo, Mich. to replace a nearby facility it had outgrown, the company said.
At the Kalamazoo DC, Kenco will offer a variety of distribution services including order fulfillment, reverse logistics, raw materials management and transportation.
The new facility, which meets necessary standards to handle medical products, is equipped with 17 loading docks and 120 parking spots for truck trailers.
Products manufactured in the upper Midwest will be shipped from the Kalamazoo DC to North American and international destinations.
“Increased shipping volumes and strong customer demand for services prompted us to build the expanded DC,” Kenco Vice President, Health and Personal Care Paula Hise said in a statement. “We have leveraged this opportunity by including best-in-class warehouse and management tracking systems that provide our clients with centralized distribution and planning capabilities.”
Headquartered in Chattanooga, Tenn., Kenco has over 90 warehouse facilities across the United States and Canada.
