The third party logistics provider and supply chain specialist opened a new office in Porto, Portugal.
Third party logistics provider and supply chain specialist Kerry Logistics has opened a new office in Porto, the second largest city in Portugal, as part of its on-going expansion plans in Europe.
The Hong Kong-based company said in a statement its new location will offer freight forwarding solutions through air, ocean and road freight, along with sea-air services, warehousing and distribution, insurance and risk management, and Customs brokerage.
Kerry Logistics (Portugal) will have access to three international airports in Porto, Lisbon, and Faro, and port facilities in Porto (Leixões), Lisbon and Sines.
The company services a wide range of industries including pharmaceuticals, fast-moving-consumer-goods (FMCG), industrial, and fashion and lifestyle products.
“Portugal is an exciting market as well as an international gateway for three continents, and we are delighted to be opening a branch there,” said Mário Silva, general manager of Kerry Logistics (Portugal). “Our new office will enhance our existing freight network in Europe whilst giving our customers even greater access to markets across Africa and South America, and in particular Brazil.”
Including the new branch in Portugal, Kerry Logistics now operates in 40 countries and territories worldwide.
