Kewill launches universal carrier module

In its updated release of the Kewill Flagship version 5.2, global trade and shipping logistics service provider Kewill has launched a new module that will enable shippers of all sizes and geographies to onboard new carriers and services with increased flexibility and speed.
Kewill’s new Universal Carrier Module (UCM) is designed to provide a rapid implenetation of carriers of any scale anywhere in the world at a reduced time and cost than what’s typically expected when onboarding new carriers or maintaining compliance with existing carriers. The company said UCM is a straightforward interface that’s built to support easy-to-use scripts.
With the release of its UCM for Flagship 5.2, customers can maintain compliance, add new services, and onboard carriers with no programming, with support for global operations via documents and labels produced in any language.
As part of the overall Flagship 5.2 release, Kewill said the company has offered extended support for TNT Asia; added more Newgistics services; added DHL Global XML PI Web service-based carrier for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific; and extended support for international compliance documentation and customs filings.
The new service comes about a week after Kewill announced it achieved Oracle Validated Integration of its Flagship with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 and 9.1.
