Kleenex maker blows into Redlands

Health and hygiene manufacturer Kimberly-Clark has signed a deal with Denver-based ProLogis to lease a 700,000-square-foot warehouse in Redlands. Financial details of the lease were not disclosed.

   The manufacturer of brands such as Kleenex, Depends, and Huggies diapers, is expected to begin moving into the facility this summer, ramping up with a plan to ultimately employing 250 to 350 people.

   The facility is located in ProLogis Park, a 1.8 million-square-foot warehouse and distribution complex.

   Michael Del Santo, ProLogis market officer and first vice president of capital deployment, told GlobeSt.com the company is constantly on the lookout for acquisition and development targets in an Inland Empire market. Santo described the opportunities in the area as 'absolutely unrivaled across the country.'

   ProLogis is the largest owner of industrial distribution space in the Inland Empire, with 27 million square feet of space in 73 locations.
