Swisslog, a provider of automated warehousing and distribution services, has appointed Richard Kooistra to vice president of sales and consulting for North America.
His duties will cover sales and business growth for inventory and automation tools in the retail, food, and beverage markets. The company’s North American headquarters is located in Virginia.
Swisslog said its robotic approach to a “3D warehouse” gives it an advantage by using more available space for storage and picking, allowing for better inventory control. The company, based in Buchs/Aarau, Switzerland, currently provides services in more than 50 countries.
