KOREAN AIR CARGO BOOSTS SEOUL/U.S. FLIGHTS
Korean Air has added two weekly cargo flight connecting Seoul with Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The weekly freighter flights boost service to Los Angeles to 17 flights per week and six a week to San Francisco. Weekly capacity to the U.S. improves to 4,240 tons, from 4,070 tons.
The increased capacity was provided to meet demand for Asian-made electronic parts for computers and home electronics products, as well as cell phones and telecommunications equipment.
Korean Air said transpacific cargo volumes increased 16 percent in the first half of 2000, to 38,000 tons.
