KOREAN AIR ORDERS FREIGHTERS
Korean Air has ordered two new B747-400 freighters from Boeing for
delivery in May and June next year.
The new aircraft, which can carry 125 tons nearly 3,000 nautical miles,
will give KAL an all-cargo fleet of five B747-400s, 10 B747-200s and two
MD-11s. Two Airbus A300 freighters are scheduled to be retired.
KAL lost an MD-11 freighter in a recent fatal crash outside China’s
Shanghai airport.
