KOREAN AIRLINES’ AIRCRAFT GROUNDED
The Korean government has grounded nine Korean Air Lines’ B747-200 jets,
including some freighters, after a KAL freighter landed in Malaysia with a hole in its
fuselage this week.
The B747-200 freighter incident in Malaysia comes weeks after a KAL
freighter crashed shortly after take-off from Stansted airport in the United Kingdom,
killing four crew members.
The Korean government has banned KAL from opening any new international
routes until May next year.
