KORUS Environmental Affairs Council to meet

A public session will be conducted after the U.S. and South Korean officials sit down in Washington in May.

   The U.S. and South Korea will hold a meeting of the bilateral Environmental Affairs Council (EAC) in Washington, D.C., May 13 and 14 to discuss respective implementation and progress under the environment chapter (Chapter 20) of the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement, the State Department announced Monday.
   All interested persons are invited to attend a public session May 14, following the EAC meeting, at which they will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss implementation of Chapter 20 and U.S.-Korean environmental cooperation.
   State and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative invite interested organizations and members of the public to submit written comments or suggestions regarding implementation of Chapter 20, the meeting agenda and any issue that should be discussed at the meeting no later than May 10.
