Kuehne + Nagel takes over Beiersdorf’s logistics center in Hamburg
Kuehne + Nagel today signed an agreement to take over operation of international cosmetics group Beiersdorf AG's logistics center in Hamburg, Germany.
Under the agreement, Kuehne + Nagel will from June take over management of the main warehouse for the German market as well as handle exports to Beiersdorf’s foreign affiliates.
Beiersdorf said one of the key criteria for signing the agreement was the preservation of the 148 jobs at the Hamburg logistics facility. Employees can choose to stay with Kuehne + Nagel at the Hamburg site or take other duties at one of Beiersdorf's other production facilities.
