Kuehne + Nagel to manage Baltic warehousing, distribution for Samsung
Kuehne + Nagel has been awarded a three-year contract by Samsung to manage the warehousing and distribution of its core consumer electronics product ranges across the Baltic Sea countries of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
Under the agreement, shipments arrive at Kuehne + Nagel's warehouse in the Latvian capital Riga, where services include inbound reception (packaging and seal-integration checks), storage, pick-and-pack activities per electronic data interchange orders, and local distribution.
The Swiss logistics firm is also providing Samsung with value-added services including mobile phone serial number management, as well as secure storage and delivery of high-value products.
