L.A. redevelops historic port warehouses
The Port of Los Angeles said Tuesday it is seeking interested parties to redevelop two 1940s vintage wood-frame industrial structures, Warehouse Nos. 9 and 10.
The structures, owned by the port, will be made available to potential developers on a long-term lease basis.
“The port is seeking creative and unique redevelopment approaches that will consider the maritime and industrial history of Warehouse Nos. 9 and 10,” the port said in a statement. “The approaches should revitalize the warehouses as part of for a vibrant, new visitor-focused use that complements the port's San Pedro Waterfront Project, an ambitious initiative to revitalize the community and enhance the Los Angeles waterfront with a broad range of public uses.”
Statements of interest are due Jan. 18. Parties interested in participating in informational site tours on Dec. 6 or 7 should contact Lisa Jordan at (310) 732-3580 to confirm attendance.
