LANGHAM APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF AIRFORWARDERS ASSOCIATION
Cathy Langham, president of Langham, a transportation and warehouse logistics provider, has been elected chairman of the Airforwarders Association for 2001-02.
The announcement was made by the association after its board of directors meting in Houston. Other officers elected were Ron Lee, president of Transfair/Transgroup to president of the association; and Brandon Fried, chief operating officer of Adcom Worldwide, to association vice president.
The association elected Robert Imhof, vice president of Cargo Inc., to treasurer, and Al Edwards, president of Cavalier Logistics, to secretary. Michael Hess, vice president of Associated Global Systems, was elected to member at large of the association’s executive committee.
“The Airforwarders Association, with its newly elected directors and recently revised strategic plan, is well poised to move ahead and confront the myriad of issues that face its membership,” Langham said. “The association is committed to being the voice of the air forwarding/logistics industry.”
The Washington-based association’s purpose is to represent and educate the air freight transportation and logistics industry on issues impacting the business.
