MacroPoint’s freight tracking software will be integrated throughout freight broker and third-party logistics provider Logistics Dynamics, Inc.’s entire network of more than 55,000 motor carriers.
Logistics Dynamics, Inc. (LDi) a third-party logistics provider that specializes in transportation management and freight broker services, established a long-term agreement with freight tracking software provider MacroPoint, LDi said.
MacroPoint’s software will be integrated throughout LDi’s entire network of more than 55,000 motor carriers.
The integration of MacroPoint into LDi’s transportation management system, LDi Freight, will allow the logistics company to provide shippers with real-time location tracking, delivery monitoring and event notifications.
The software provides arrival and departure notifications, along with out-of-route monitoring by tracking the location of the driver’s mobile phone or existing in-cab ELD/GPS devices.
“By enabling MacroPoint with LDi Freight, our shippers, business partners and carriers have the ability to capture tracking data, update maps and access load histories in a single portal with seamless functionality on any device, including desktop, laptop and tablet computers and smartphones,” LDi Vice President of Operations Evan Gaskill said in a statement.
