Lufthansa Cargo adds specialty delivery option
Lufthansa Cargo said it will offer shippers a new direct delivery service from its Frankfurt hub.
The 'cd Solutions' product gives consignees the option of having goods delivered to their warehouse within two hours of arrival at the airport, at a specified time or upon a customer's call.
The new product is designed to fit the just-in-time delivery needs of customers by providing customized service in a standard format.
The 'customer-definite' service will be available at the end of October to forwarders and receivers with large, regular logistics flows from Asia. The service will be available for all shipments bound for Europe from around the world in early 2004.
