Maersk hiking TP rates to Canada

   Maersk Line said it plans to hike rates from the Far East to Asia, starting Sept. 19.
   The increases are $400 per 20-foot container, $500 per 40-foot container, $565 per 40-foot high-cube container and $635 per 45-foot high-cube container for local and store-door Vancouver shipments.
   For mini-landbridge, intermodal and all-water shipments, the increases are $560 per 20-foot container, $700 per 40-foot container, $790 per 40-foot high-cube container and $890 per 45-foot high-cube container.
   The line will also hike rates from Hawaii and New Orleans to Latin America from Oct. 1. The increases are $150 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot, 40-foot high-cube or 45-foot high-cube container. The increases are applicable to destinations in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
