Maersk Line announces new CFO

Pierre Danet will leave Hewlett Packard to join the ocean carrier as its new chief financial officer.

   Pierre Danet will join Maersk Line as its new chief financial officer and a member of its management board, effective April 7. Danet will leave his present position as president and regional CFO of Hewlett Packard Printing and Personal Systems in EMEA.
   Maersk’s current Chief Strategy, Finance and Transformation Officer, Jakob Stausholm, will continue in his role as chief strategy and transformation officer. According to a statement from the company, the move will add “further focus and leadership to the ongoing transformation and business development of Maersk Line.”
   French-born Danet holds an MBA from ESSEC in France, and had previously worked at Hewlett Packard since August 2011. Prior to HP, Danet served in multiple positions at Proctor and Gamble, starting in 1998.
   Maersk Line, part of the A.P. Moller Maersk Group, reported $2.34 billion in profits on revenues of $27.35 billion in 2014.
