MAERSK SEALAND ADDS XIAMEN CALL TO ASIA-EUROPE SERVICE
Maersk Sealand has commenced a direct service from Xiamen, China, to northern Europe, by adding direct calls at the port of Xiamen.
The “AE2” Asia-Europe service now provides weekly sailings from Xiamen every Thursday.
The revised rotation of the “AE2” weekly string is Busan, Kwangyang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Singapore, Damietta, Le Havre, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Le Havre, Gioia Tauro, Damietta, Jeddah, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong and Busan. The “AE2” string no longer calls at Yantian.
However, Maersk Sealand has revised its “AE1” service, which now picks up the Yantian call from the “AE2” string. The rotation of the “AE1” weekly
loop is Kaohsiung, Kobe, Nagoya, Yokohama, Yantian, Hong Kong, Gioia Tauro, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Singapore and Kaohsiung
